We hope this virtual summit will help you find answers as well as give much needed time to network with your peers. Together we are strong! Together we are powerful! And together we will make it happen! Please join us in a two-day virtual summit to Connect, Cultivate, & Collaborate. We are very excited to highlight our members in these virtual workshops, as well as promote some amazing authors and their works.

"You don’t make progress by standing on the sidelines, whimpering and complaining. You make progress by implementing ideas."
– Shirley Chisholm

After careful consideration and based on the growing outbreak of the coronavirus in the U.S., we postponed our National Conference African American Librarians XI Conference (NCAAL XI).

The Virtual Summit does not takes place on the dates of the originally scheduled NCAAL XI Conference. Our goal is to provide a virtual experience that enables attendees to participate in a live streaming, multi-track virtual conference. If time doesn’t permit participation May 15-16, content from the entire activity will be available to members on a learning platform. The Black Caucus American Library Association focus is to bring quality programming by way of insightful Librarians, Authors and presenters.

This summit is the first of its kind for our illustrious organization. We embrace the challenges and the new virtual reality it brings to our profession.

The BCALA 2020 Virtual Summit will be a full conference experience. BCALA recognizes and greatly appreciates the hard work and dedication the program committee and the Executive Board put into developing the summit .

The Virtual Summit is free for all.

We appreciate your support during this tumultuous time around the globe. We are committed to delivering you a quality Summit experience and will communicate updates regularly.

It's time to get focused on the areas you need help with
